He Made the Stars Also

Bible Text: Genesis 1:14-19 | Preacher: Pastor Gifford Dennison | 1. The stars perform 3 services for man. a) They shine light. b) They show seasons. c) They act as signs. i) Stars signify the Substance of God. God is supremely smart and strong. The stars tell us that our security is in God alone. The stars also declare that God is steadfast, and can be trusted to sustain us. ii) The stars set forth the Saviour. The star of the wisemen's search. The stars that herald the second coming of Christ. The constellations that may depict the story of Salvation through Christ. iii) They symbolize different sorts of people.
