Sermon notes

1. Which kind of sin must be disciplined a) The kind of sins then that are more likely to be disciplined are Public sins rather than Private sins. i) Public sins are Palpable, i.e., they are Plainly expressed through words and actions. b) Another important distinction of sins that are disciplinable are that the sin will be Plural rather than a single act of Passion. i) The sin that is disciplined is likely to be one that is continually Practiced rather than at one Point of time. c) An exception to ongoing sin being disciplined is when the sin occurs once but evidence points to the sin being Premeditated or Pre-planned. 2. Who qualifies to be put under church discipline a) Those who are Proclaimed to be brothers. b) The Problem with the term brother. i) It can mean a male from the same Physical womb. ii) It can mean a Patriot. That is, a person or people from the same country. iii) It can mean the whole Pool of humanity. iv) It can mean those who are Persuaded of the truth of the gospel. v) It can mean when Christians become Participants in church membership.
